Play Woodpecker (set 2) Online

Woodpecker is an arcade platform game very similar to the developer's earlier game Naughty . As in that game, you play as a mouse that needs to visit every nest in a tree, destroying the eggs while avoiding randomly patrolling birdies. There are also a couple of power pellets per level, which when taken will make you invulnerable to avian attack for a short period of time. Being hit by a bird or not getting to all the nests before hatching time will cause you to lose a life. Visiting all of the nests will take you to the next and harder level.

There are several differences from the previous game. Most importantly is the presence of the Woodpecker who appears at the start of each level putting holes throughout the map which stop the mouse from crossing. This bird also constantly swoops you during the game, and must be avoided to prevent the loss of a life. The graphics of the wandering baddies also look a lot more like woodpeckers when in profile.

Another change is that you can now press a button, which will cause all enemies on screen to be removed until they eventually respawn. You can only use this power a limited number of times before it runs out. Also, dying in this game does not completely reset the level, and all previously destroyed nests remain destroyed. The level layout has also been substantially modified from the previous game.
