The famous cat and mouse are back in Tom and Jerry Tales. The story is simple: Tom's masters are out and he quickly makes a plan to catch Jerry. Jerry strikes back and the chase begins! The gameplay is also simple: the player moves Jerry and follows the chunks of cheese Tom has placed. When Jerry meets Tom or enters any hole, do whatever appears on the screen.
The adventures and chases of Tom and Jerry are shown through 2D graphics. Jerry can unlock new costumes and change his outfit. A password system allows the to continue from the last level reached.
There is a Nintendo DS version for this game. Although they have the same name and are made by the same company, the gameplay differs between both versions.
