Super Barista is a mash-up of the time management and tower defense genres. It is a coffee-serving game set in outer space, where alien customers travel around maze-like levels to get to the exit, and the player's objective is to serve them coffee to "kill" them before they can leave unsatisfied. The basic method of service is to build tables (towers) at which customers sit while awaiting their drinks, and then to order and deliver the appropriate drink for the appropriate customer before they can get upset and stand up again.

Difficulty is added with multiple alien races, VIP guests, maze-route-changing mechanics and special upgradeable tower types that include automated and teleporting options. The game features in-app purchases as well as free and paid in-game currencies, also earnable through gameplay, that can be used to purchase special abilities and upgrades.
