Trivial Pursuit: Let Loose is a DVD version of the popular board game for up to four players/teams. In the DVD case there are, or should be one DVD and a packet containing four score wheels each in a different colour; twenty-four category wedges, that's four for each category, four 'Colour Flip' cards, four 'I Choose' cards; and Eight 'Double Trouble' cards. The game does come with instructions which are printed on the reverse of the keep case inlay.

After a funky video montage introduction the main menu appears with a choice of eight different quizzes and a 'Quick Start' option which explains how the game is played. This implementation of the game does not use a board but players still have their own scoring wheels onto which they slot a category wedge when they answer a question correctly - however these are 2D card and not the familiar 3D plastic versions. At the start of the game the cards are dealt out, one 'I Choose', one 'Colour flip' and two 'Double Trouble' cards each.

There are six question categories, Girls, Boys, Adrenalin, Gross, Music and Unbelievable which can have questions featuring video and audio clips. Before each question the host pops up and says something humorous. There are two other categories:* A 'Dare' category which is used when one player/team challenges another, this contains mini-games such as "Which stall in the toilets is the cleanest? - players click on one of three doors to reveal the answer; "Find the cat in the dustbin" - a variant on the old shell game and so-on.

  • Going For The Win. The DVD does NOT keep score, that is left to the players putting card wedges into their score-wheel. When a participant has correctly answered a a question from each category they face one final question - this is the one that wins the game.
