When a boy named Nemo settled down to sleep for the night, the King of Slumberland invites him to come and play with the Princess. When he accepted the invitation, he couldn't find the King. While Nemo was figuring out what to do, he made contact with a strange man named Flip who offered to help him find the King. And so, the two went out to explore Slumberland and find the King.

Nemo is a one- or two-player game consisting of seven stages. Each stage features spectacular locations inhabited by toys that pose a threat to the two characters. The player must kill these toys with either Nemo's staff or Flip's stick, or various items that can be picked up and thrown at them. Furthermore, a special item called the Yashichi will cause Nemo or Flip to turn red, allowing them to perform a super attack on the toys that wipe out anything behind them.
