Hoshi Saga Ringo is the fourth title in the Hoshi Saga series of puzzle games where players need to manipulate objects in a scene to discover a star. It is a reboot of the series, resetting the level numbers (which were incremental in the first three games).

The concept remains the same. The player needs to experiment with the presented scene to alter the environment. As soon as the star is discovered, the scene is completed. The star is usually hidden in the environment and each level requires a different technique before the shape reveals itself: manipulating light, moving objects, connecting chains, opening up boxes, ... All manipulation is done using the mouse. Sometimes the star can be discovered easily, but revealing it in full is a harder task. It contains sixteen levels, each with a different difficulty, and nine more can be unlocked while playing. The levels are continued in the next game, Hoshi Saga Ringoame.
