Daikōkai Jidai V is the fifth entry of the Uncharted Waters / Daikōkai Jidai series.

Unlike its predecessors, the game is free-to-play with microtransactions. The largest new system introduced by this game is "multi-Portolano" ("Portolano" is the word of "Portolan chart" in Italian), which allowed players to change the coastline by switching the map to another one.

The game was criticized to be a pay-to-win game. After the closure of the Japanese server on March 31, 2021, the game can no longer be played.
