Ballarina is an arcade kart game based on the second season of the Nickelodeon Game Shakers animated TV series. The players race Tiny Zebras encased in a blaze ball on randomly generated tracks with simple objectives. Smashing into objects wows the crowd, there are power-ups to collect and it is possible to bash opponents around the track.
The game scales the difficulty based on the player's performance. Players are in direct competition with AI-controlled opponents, each with their own distinct play style. Making progress is dependent not on score, but on beating these opponents in races.
The player's skill at racing is balanced with the ability to "cut loose" and cause chaos on the track. While most racing games encourage you to avoid obstacles on the track, the tracks are filled with Ballarina objects that reward the player when smashed. The AI-controlled opponents can also be knocked around, and they will try to knock the player around in turn.
The game is free with no in-app purchases.
