Adventure Time: Hey Ice King Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! is a 2D platform game played from side view perspective, based on the American animated series Adventure Time. Jake and Finn notice that their garbage has disappeared overnight. Shortly after the Ice King appears and tells them he took it. Jake is fine by it but Finn is determined to take his garbage back.

In the game the player takes control of Finn and Jake and has the ability to jump and fight. Finn has a fist attack while Jake can do a range attack with his long arms. On the hub map Jake and Finn walks between levels in a top-down perspective, while in the levels are 2D side view platforming.
